Chris: Good points. But whenever I hear the statists argue that political systems are “natural” to us, I respond: “Then why do they have to rely on force to compel our ‘cooperation’? What inner drives/energies exist within each of us that the state must resort to violence to overcome?” Self-interest is natural to all living things, but I’ve yet to hear the statists say “we must force you to be selfish.”
