With all the hilarious “birther” hysteria (next: the John Birther Society), here is a question: can the wonderful Camile Paglia be numbered among the natural-born-citizenship doubters? After all, she wrote: “Yes, there were ambiguities about Obama’s birth certificate that have never been satisfactorily resolved.” Most interesting to me: why this fantastic media maelstrom? Did Demo polls show an alarming increase in denialhood? Or is this an attempt to hurt the Repubs? Either way, I’m enjoying it.
