Catholic World News reports that Archbishop Amel Shamon Nona, the Chaldean Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, Iraq, has written a letter to Christians in the West.

“Christians who are free to practice their faith have obligations to their persecuted co-religionists” in Iraq, he wrote.

No Christian in the West has a more profound obligation to do so than George W. Bush.

Bush  is more responsible for the savage persecution of Christians now under way in the Middle East than any other individual.

And no western leader was more arrogant in parading his Christian faith as a justification for his illegal and unconstitutional invasion of Iraq.

Clearly, we must do everything in our power to deliver Archbishop Nona’s letter to the ex-President.

This will be a difficult task, because W has been hiding out in shame, protected by the full force of assorted government SWAT teams and a host of “Christianapologists who provided his moral cover.

Mr. Bush! Tear down this wall! Write Archbishop Nona and apologize!
