In case anybody still believes

that modern conservatism stands for free markets and not corporatism, check out this quote from presidential historian Alan Lichtman from a story about how Bush has gone longer than any other President without vetoing a bill due to the GOP’s iron grip on Congress:

“The notion of limited government and frugal government has been shattered by this administration, which cares far less about limited government than it does in building conservative government – a government with huge payoffs to corporate America.”
