The mainstream media has been hypothesizing the 2012 GOP presidential candidacy of virtually any Republican except Ron Paul. It’s the old trick of hiding something by placing it amongst hundreds of other items — or the magician’s trick of using sleight-of-hand to distract his audience. It’s also why the political establishment has been taking over the Tea Party movement: to either consign to the memory-hole or co-opt any thinking/action contrary to that which underlies our present “best of all possible worlds.”
I have seen names I don’t even recognize as potential candidates. I half expect the Weed Commissioner of Mud Flats, Kansas to be brought up, on the strength of his recent speech to a local Rotary Club!
