“I’m noting a common thread among all of the taser stories, aside from the brutality and abuse. Notice that any time the victim has some condition that makes the cops look even worse (e.g., pregnancy or being deaf), the department releases some statement to the effect of:

“‘Hey, we wish it never happened, but with the information we had at the time, our choices were limited. Do I wish that he / she would have disclosed their condition to us before the action was taken? Certainly. It’s sad that they didn’t announce that they were (pregnant, deaf), and that things had to end like this.’

“So there’s your apology, victims: I’m sorry that you didn’t tell me you were pregnant.
