Hypocritical, Ignorant, Obscene Liberventionists

An email from a Mr. R.M. regarding my “Abolitionist Defends the South” article today points out the obvious: the bloggers at “No Treason” have obviously never read the essay, “No Treason,” by Lysander Spooner, after which their site is named. If they did, they would not be such warmongering, imperialist Lincoln idolaters. Here’s the letter:

“Your essay here reminds me just how ironic it is that the libertarian-left website that specializes in anti-LRC blogging, No Treason, . . . takes its name from the title of Spooner’s most central work.”

“In so doing, No Treason pays implicit tribute to Spooner. Yet its bloggers rarely miss an opportunity to uphold Lincoln’s war and to denigrate LRC writers like you for arguing otherwise.”

“No Treason traffics in hypocricy, ignorance, bile, and obscenity. How blessed you are in your enemies!”
