Apropos my previous blog on why 700 disgraced NYC school teachers are still on the payroll, Attorney David Sack writes:
“I was once in court where the case before ours was a teacher asking a judge to overturn her termination. The judge says “Okay, I want to review the record, what type of record are we talking about here?” to which the lawyers responded 150 days of hearings over a 3 year period with over 30,000 transcript pages. The judge almost had a stroke. And this is to fire a single teacher whom everyone (apparently) thought was incompetent.”
And Vince Daliessio of libertyguys.org sent this priceless graphic representation which dissects the firing process.
