How Sweet It Is

Not only to hear Ron Paul get a tad of the respect he deserves in his Audit the Fed hearing, and to see the Fed—for the first time in the 41 years I’ve been following it—not treated as the Holy of Holies. The Fed made a decision not to send a member of the board of governors, let alone the chairman or vice chairman, to be quizzed. So the chief lawyer was hung out to dry, and rightly so. Here one of the Ron Paulians on the committee asks some of the questions we have all wanted to ask. Right before our eyes, the central agency of evil in the US state is taken down several notches. Hip hip hooray! And wouldn’t Murray Rothbard be proud of his student, Tom Woods? Have you read End the Fed and Meltdown?

UPDATE from Doug Ritter:

You mentioned how good it was to see the respect shown for Dr. Paul in the hearings this morning and I couldn’t agree more.  It was obvious that at least the people in the room have finally had the scales removed from their eyes with respect to Dr. Paul.  For me, seeing the good doctor treated with the respect he so richly deserves was by far the highlight of the day.  That is real hope for America, not some phony “more of the same old baloney” Obama has given us.
