Sam Konkin who passed away this week played a small, but significant, role in my life. In 1984, Sam spoke at my college. Sam’s speech was my first exposure to anarco-libertarianism. I was quite intrigued by Sam’s ideas and decided to learn more about libertarianism. Sam thus started my journey from from a Young Reaganite to a Rothbardian. Hopefully, someday I’ll return the favor by helping start some young person’s intellectual journey from statism to liberty.
