Congratulations to Marco Bassani on the release of his new book, Liberty, State, & Union: The Political Theory of Thomas Jefferson.  Marco cuts through the fashionable misinterpretations of Jefferson’s thought to get to the real thing. I had the good fortune of reading this book in manuscript form and was able to cite it several times in Nullification, my own recent book.  This is a great work.
