Higgs on Government and Recovery

The great economic historian Robert Higgs will be giving a talk for the Mises Academy at 6:00 pm Eastern time today on How Government Impedes Recovery. He will bring to bear his illuminating concept of “regime uncertainty” to show why government intervention, whether undertaken by Roosevelt in the 1930s or Obama today, delays recovery from a depression. There will be a 45 minute question-and-answer period after the talk. I urge everyone who can do so to take advantage of this educational opportunity. Information about registering for the session can be found here.
