While researching the Nick George case, I went to the ACLU website. (The ACLU is representing George in a lawsuit against the TSA. Good luck, young man, as you will find the courts will hold that the TSA needs to be ever-vigilant in disrupting individual travel schedules and humiliating airline passengers.)

On the ACLU website was a link for a petition to “reform” the Patriot Act. I have a better idea, folks. Let’s get rid of the Patriot Act altogether, as well as the entire Homeland Security apparatus that ultimately will swallow all of us if we don’t deep-six it. Unfortunately, the state-loving ACLU never would go for that. Don’t forget that the ACLU once was against the RICO Statutes until they were used against abortion protesters. At that point, the ACLU said RICO was just fine.
