Helping Farmers Fund the Future

I am so pleased to see that crowdfunding platforms such as GoFundMe and Kickstarter are popping up everywhere. This is a great example of how a voluntary society interacts peacefully and logically, without the need for central planning and assorted mandates from job-securitized bureaucrats. People giving strangers dough because they believe in a vision or product/service is, in essence, a philanthropic free market unencumbered by legalized gangsters calling themselves civil servants. This is from Forbes article:

The Crowdfunding Industry Report by Massolution put out data showing the overall crowdfunding industry has raised $2.7 billion in 2012, across more than 1 million individual campaigns globally. In 2013 the industry is projected to grow to $5.1 billion.H

Here’s a great example of a small, independent farm in Texas that produces grass-fed beef wherein the proprietors are looking to crowdfunding to pay for a deep well project. Some funders may never see a return in service, but they desire to contribute to the larger, overall vision.
