Max Lemus has released his new documentary, “Not Without a Fight.” See further info and the 4-minute trailer at the film website. A summary of the film is available from Paul Valone on Examiner.com. In the film trailer, I noted there is some very appropriate NRA bashing. Gun people who continue to claim the NRA is supporting their ability to defend themselves are delusional fools. As one friend of mine said, the NRA is the world’s biggest gun control lobby.
On the same issue, I am currently reading Clayton E. Cramer’s Armed America: The Story of How and Why Guns Became as American as Apple Pie. I highly recommend this great book. The first chapter alone is worth the price (“Creating a Useable Past: Michael Bellesiles and Revisionist History”). Mr. Cramer tells all about the Bellesiles scam and how Mr. Bellesiles intentionally altered the quotes and dates of history, misquoted and misrepresented primary sources, and revised historical events to fit into his preferred thesis that guns were not a common characteristic of early American society. Cramer was intrigued by the claims made by Bellesiles and investigated his sources, which led to his uncovering of a startling case of falsely revised scholarship for the benefit of serving a pro-government, anti-gun ideological purpose. Cramer found himself so deeply immersed in purposeful exaggerations, lies, and distortions of history that he ended up writing this great book. Support Cramer’s great and important work, and LewRockwell.com, by buying the book. It’s only $11, and it’ll make a great Christmas gift.
