Greenpeace Property Destruction Verdict

The case of the Greenpeace people who engaged in property destruction during a protest in the name of climate change was settled by a jury today in favor of the Greenpeace members.

If energy in the UK is run like it is in the US, then the term “private” applied to the power company’s property is mushy. But, the argument used to defend the property defacement and trespassing was that Greenpeace was preventing future property damage caused by climate change. Ugh.
