Government Schools and Violence

Lew: Why would we expect government schools to operate on a more civil base than any other form of state activity? The purpose of the government schools has always been to condition children to accept obedience to authority as their highest standard, and if violence is the last resort for accomplishing this end (i.e., after grades, special privileges, drugs, suspension from school, have failed) why should we be surprised to find these child-abusers continuing to increase the cost of kids saying “no”?

I have long been of the view that if only one governmental program could be eliminated, it would be the state’s school system. It is the wicked system that helps children grow up into adults who find no problem with slaughtering other children — be they the unborn or those lacking the foresight to stay out of war-zones in foreign countries.

The only principled way to end the government school system is for parents to withdraw those they profess to love from the grasping, disspiriting, and violent hands of this vicious racket and turn to private schools (or homeschooling) where the interests of the children prevail.
