An interesting study done at one of our own government labs has implicated Mexican government in high-levels of pollution. Does private industry pollute? Of course – everyone does. But individuals and business owners have an incentive to pollute as little as possible in a free market where private property is respected. Government officials have no such incentive – developing country or not.
Anyone know of any research by our own government that implicates said government in high-levels of pollution in, say, Iraq?
