Google’s Latest Gizmo

Writes Robert Groezinger:

“Google’s latest gizmo, Google labs,” writes Niall Ferguson in the Telegraph, “allows you to search the huge number of books Google has scanned to date to see how frequently a word occurs in them.”

It does so only up the the year 2000, though. I checked “Libertarianism” and compared it with “Neoconservatism.” Hurrah!

This is unfortunate, if to be expected: Ludwig von Mises vs. Keynes. Looking at LvM alone, however, is encouraging.
