Good for the Casey Anthony Jurors

In an interview with ABC News, Casey Anthony juror Jennifer Ford laid out the fact that the prosecution did not prove its case, and she also portrayed character that seems to be lacking not only by prosecutors, but by many Americans these days:

Ford said the fact that Anthony could have faced the death penalty was a consideration.

“If they want to charge and they want me to take someone’s life, they have to prove it. They have to prove it, or else I’m a murderer too.”

Unfortunately, given the visceral reaction to the verdict from the Usual Suspects of Nasty Nancy Grace and William “Bloodthirsty” O’Reilly and their bands of followers, it seems that a lot of Americans today would have no problem at all directing the government to take a life.
