Good Column in the…Washington Times?

The House Organ of Neo-Conservatism is the Washington Times (while the House Organ of the Current Regime is the Washington Post), but even a broken clock is right once in a while. Here is an excellent criticism of the Fed that points out that the real problem is that Bernanke is keeping interest rates too low. Low? That’s right. There is one telling point that the author, James A. Bacon, makes:

But give Mr. Obama credit for this: While his handmaiden Bernanke plunders the middle class in order to prop up Wall Street and the U.S. Treasury, the president has exploited the resulting uncertainty and unease by posing as a champion of Middle America.

Unfortunately, he adds this gratuitous insult of Ron Paul:

I’ve never been much of a fan of Rep. Ron Paul, but the man is making more and more sense when he says it’s time to abolish the Fed.

Does it ever occur to these people that Dr. Paul really does have insights that are lacking with the Republicans in general?
