As it overcomes the effects of the American invasion and occupation, and turns to capitalism, Vietnam is booming.
A couple of years ago a young economist from the National Economic University in Hanoi visited the Mises Institute for the summer. He is an Austrian economist, and reported no trouble over his teaching and scholarly writings, not even his free-market op-eds in the newspapers.
