Just as the US booboisie accepts a police state, so it accepts US aggression. Here one of the military barons of the empire threatens to bomb Iran for doing what it is allowed to do under the US’s own non-proliferation treaty—enrich uranium for peaceful purposes. What, BTW, if some Iranian general said in passing, “The US can be bombed”? There would be hysteria. BTW, I notice Obama is saying he has no plans to ravage Yemen with US soldiers and contractors. Poor Yemen and poor Iran. But what the US says goes, and whom it kills deserves death.

Also, we are seeing an increasing trend of the military setting policy. Lack of civilian control of the military is one of the criteria that the US uses when it decides which countries are authoritarian (and thus eligible for US bombs).
