So David Frum is finishing up his book with Richard Perle on how to eliminate evil. It is to be called — I kid you not — AN END TO EVIL: How to Win the War on Terror.

This is exactly what so many of us have been saying about so-called “conservatives” like Frum — their rhetoric is completely leftist. A friend recently observed that today’s “conservatives” have absolutely no sense of limits: the limits of politics, the limits of the possible, etc. Russell Kirk would not have recognized any of this. An end to evil? I have a dream? No child left behind? When did this kind of thing become “conservative”?
