Freedom Comes to Portland, Maine

A measure to legalize marijuana for recreational use has passed in Portland, Maine. However, since state law allows marijuana for medical use only, the police chief says he plans to keep enforcing state law. Voters in some Michigan cities legalized the possession of small amounts of pot.

Do I smoke pot? No. Do I use other drugs? No. Do I take any prescription medication? No. Do I take aspirin? Sometimes. Especially when I get a headache from reading about some new way that Americans are glorifying the military. So why do I care about legalized marijuana in Maine when I live in Florida? Because I believe in freedom. Anyone who supports the drug war is an enemy of freedom, as I explain in my book The War on Drugs Is a War on Freedom.
