Fox News Mourns Nineteen Dead Criminals

The morning show talking heads on FOX News celebrated last week when a criminal named “Whitey” Bulger from Boston was captured after about 20 years on the run.  Bulger is accused of murdering 19 people, most likely fellow thugs and murderers in Boston Irish Mafia circles.  (Jack Nicholson portrayed Bulger in the movie “The Departed.”)

As the FOX talking heads went on and on about the atrocity of this slimeball having murdered so many people (that the police know of), the thought occurred to me once again of how HYPOCRITICAL these neocon mouthpieces are. No one has been cheerleading for endless war, and endless escalation of war, than these FOX morning show talking heads. They even threw an on-air hissy fit over Obama’s lame promise to remove a miniscule number of troops from Afghanistan over the next year. Even General Patraeus has been on television saying it’s not such a bad thing.

As far as murder is concerned, over 100,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed so far since the U.S. invasion and occupation of that country began eight years ago (twice the length of U.S. involvement in World War II, I would remind everyone). These neocon cheerleaders for war have got blood on their hands, figuratively speaking, even as they rejoice over how much better off Boston supposedly is now that the murderer of nineteen hardened criminals in that city is in prison.
