‘Flier Patience Wears Thin at Checkpoints’

Since the International Herald Tribune is owned by the New York Times, this article on angry passengers and various worried travel organizations is mild in the extreme. Still, if we read between the lines–as in Pravda in the old days–we can see that the whole flying industry is terrified, and well they should be. It makes no sense to write your “representative,” let alone the Camp Security Administration, but companies don ‘t want to lose business, and they are, even beyond the federal Depression. Oh. And note that there is no mention of the sexual assaults that are now routine in American airports. Such things are not for hoi polloi.
