Fairy Tale Abe

Writes Bob Gentile:

I went to see the movie Lincoln on Saturday. I thought he was presented as the second coming. Not bad for a war criminal and tyrant who surely should have been tried for crimes against humanity if the South had won. I couldn’t help thinking that everyone leaving the theater should have been handed a copy of Tom DiLorenzo’s book, The Real Lincoln, as an antidote to the fairy tale they had just sat through.

As soon as I got home I started to reread it.

UPDATE from Keith Smith:

A friend of mine wrote the other day, “Abe Lincoln is doing no better in theatres now than he did 150 years ago.”
