Expertocracy and Globalists

There have been more suggestions (creepocracy, jestocracy, jingoistocracy, egocracy). To conclude this thread, I observe that the market for words will decide. Erik suggests that people like fewer syllables, fewer consonants, and easily recognized words.  His bottom line is that expertocracy has the best chance of catching on as designating the class of people who suffuse the government’s system of rule and heavily influence its key levers and policies. “Expertocracy is easily recognizable, and people in our egalitarian age dislike the word expert, so they understand that it is said sarcastically.”

He adds: “Here’s a word that I have seen appearing now and then recently: globalists. That is easy to say and it is easy to see what it means, those who want a global order that is not in regular folks’ interests, with all its unrealistic, leftist-produced values. Also, it lumps together both Left and Right, both sides of which are now run by globalists who would rather die than uphold their nation’s original constitution and specific nature. Whether they are in the EU or in Washington, whether pushing Sweden to adopt the Euro or bombing Pakistan, they are the same. I believe globalist is an up-and-comer, we’ll see.”
