Ex-America

Writes a brilliant young entrepreneur-expat about himself and his wife:

We’re spending the winter in Hong Kong and Singapore, with short trips to Thailand and Vietnam.  We find ourselves more and more drawn to Asia.  Every domain has its own set of issues, but the general willingness for people to work very hard, mind their own business, and not look to the State to be their keeper creates an energy that’s palpably different from the West.  It’s refreshing.  We love visiting Vancouver in the summers, but will likely shift our residency elsewhere next year.  Turns out this freedom thing is addictive.  The more you get, the more you want!
