I hate to buy gas with 10% ethanol in it, as the engines are not built for it. Not to mention the compulsion behind it and the effects on raising corn and food prices, not to mention the high fructose spinoff, all of which products I also avoid. But the totalitarianism is reaching further and further into my life, and I assume yours, what with air travel issues, crossing the border issues, and now the EPA is approving gasoline with 15% ethanol in it. I’d prefer to see them feed 100% ethanol by the gallon to the farm lobbyists and their supporters (their stomachs that is) and witness the results on their engines. All right, no need for immediate worry. The pumps won’t handle it and eventually maybe the consumer will actually be allowed by our masters to choose the desired blend. But by then we’ll all be looking for old light bulbs to fit our fixtures and provide a decent looking light shed on faces that need it to maintain a modicum of sex appeal and eyes that need it to read.
