Garry Kasparov retires.
Now that my major projects are done for the time being I’m hoping to return to competitive play. I used to participate in rated tournaments every Monday night. (I remember being paired once with some big-shot, show-off little kid who made instantaneous moves with an hour left on his clock. I sat there, took my time, and made my moves methodically. I ended up blowing the little brat off the board.)
Yes, that’s right: my entire life is one big geek-fest.
