End Medical Marijuana

It seems that the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program is letting too many people exploit the rules and get more marijuana than they are supposed to. Some are selling it since it goes for $1,000 to $3,000 a pound in Oregon and up to $5,200 a pound in the Midwest and on the East Coast. The law in Oregon “allows growers to cultivate six mature plants per patient, and each grower can take on up to four patients. That adds up to two dozen plants, each with the potential to churn out multiple pounds of pot. Medical marijuana patients, meanwhile, are allowed to possess up to 24 ounces, or 1.5 pounds, of pot at any time.”

It is time to end medical marijuana. This is not drug freedom. This is still government tyranny. Marijuana should be legal for any reason and in any quantity. See my “The Case against Medical Marijuana” and watch for an upcoming announcement of mine about the drug war.
