Rep. Markey gets the award today for his enduring support and pushing for the latest EPA regulations on auto emissions and because I once endured an Edward J. Markey after-lunch speech, which is reason enough to give him the Totalitarian of the Day Award for spoiling my meal with his dessert of Ma[la]rkey. The TOTDA is entirely subjective, discriminatory, and selective. It treats all other totalitarians unfairly and unequally. It’s no more oppressive, however, than the EPA’s rules to lower CO2 emissions.
