For those who still think we should honor Vietnam veterans who were drafted because they had little choice in the matter, did not want to kill Vietnamese, and answered their country’s call, make sure you don’t forget those Japanese and German soldiers who were likewise drafted and killed American soldiers. If you honor them as well, then I applaud your consistency; if you don’t, then I suppose it is only drafted American soldiers who should be honored for fighting in unjust wars that had no business fighting in.
