Do Republicans Favor Sensitivity Training?

Republicans in the House just voted to fund the Department of Agriculture for FY 2012. The vote for H.R.2112 was 217-203, with not a single Democrat voting in the affirmative. Yet, according to a USDA newsletter, USDA officials have asked the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), which oversees all federal employee policies, to impose its gay-awareness programs on all federal departments. It turns out that the USDA has the most radical sensitivity training program in the government. So why are family values, anti-gay marriage Republicans funding the USDA? I know that funding the USDA is unconstitutional in the first place, but since when have Republicans cared about that?

Ron Paul, of course, voted “no,” as he does on all unconstitutional legislation.
