Poor Naomi Campbell is once again being persecuted, this time for receiving a gift of “blood diamonds” from guerrilla leader Charles Taylor. She may even be jailed. As Robert Wenzel points out, the whole protectionist “blood diamond” or “conflict diamond” scam is the creation of diamond monopolist De Beers to hinder competition. There was even a Hollywood propaganda movie demonizing unofficial diamonds. But isn’t Taylor a bad man? Chances are his real crime is stepping on the wrong toes. If he’d done the UK corporate state’s bidding, he’d be Sir Charles.
