It was funny to hear FOX this morning tip-toeing around the story of Cheney’s negligent shooting of a fellow hunter on one of his undisclosed vacation locations. Cheney can do no wrong, of course, so it was really the other guy’s fault. And besides, Dick couldn’t see because “the sun was in his eyes.” No hunter, surrounded by members of a hunting party, should ever shoot when he is blinded by the sun. When something like this happens, the guy is usually drunk. Did Dick have a breathalyzer test?
It was also funny to hear all the choreographed tales from the wounded 78-year-old man, who was feeling great, telling jokes, and honored to be shot by the veep.
Why was the story kept secret for more than 24 hours (and apparently never intended to be made public)? Dick wanted to make sure his victim had received the proper medical treatment, said FOX.
