Crawford’s Assessment

“[A] lack of enthusiasm among GOP voters for the front-running candidates,” coupled with “an intensely loyal following” from people who have contributed $5.1 million, “most certainly would not be enough to propel [Ron Paul] to the nomination . . . .” Why not? If Rudi, or John, or Mitt, or Fred, were enjoying such success, would Mr. Crawford be making the same assessment of their chances? Are there other factors – of which Crawford does not speak – that would deny only Paul the nomination? If so, might he inform us of what these are? It almost sounds as if the man is suggesting that the political process is (gulp!) dishonest!!
