A year or two after the dot-com bust, my husband attended a seminar near San Mateo, CA held in a vacated business park–a ghost town of the dot-coms, if you will. I don’t know whether center-city luxury apartment buildings are next due to the burst housing bubble, but the stimulus package has bureaucrats considering their very own future ghost-towns of research labs.
