Over at the National Review, conservatives scoff at those who claim that “their freedom of association includes the right to gather and consume an illegal product.” The freedom of association argument aside, even a conservative with half his brain behind his back should be able to discern that “illegal” simply means not sanctioned by government, or, prohibited by the political powers who are protecting rent-seeking special interests, eliminating free choice, and controlling behavior and lifestyle for the benefit of government power and growth. But conservatives still believe that all laws are valid, and that all lawbreakers are committing unforgivable civil disobedience against good government rules that keep the world safe. As usual, note some of the comments left by buffoon readers.
Ron Paul, on the other hand, understands that the interstate raw milk ban is unconstitutional and totalitarian. Thanks to Sirius radio’s Mike Church for the heads-up.
