A hearty congratulations to Tom Woods upon being slimed by the New York Times editorial page! I’m so envious; I’ve been slimed by the book review section, but the editorial page is a far higher honor. Way to go, Tom!

Frankly, if the Times were ever to write something nice about Tom’s work — or the work of just about anyone associated with the Mises Institute and LewRockwell.com — I would forever view them with suspicion and distrust.

I look forward to Tom’s response to these lame, ignorant, and juvenile editorial rantings on LRC.

Thomas E. Woods, Jr., senior fellow of the Mises Institute and LRC columnist, has won the $50,000 first prize in the Templeton Enterprise Awards, for the best book in “humane economics” over the last two years. The heralded work is his wonderful and much-needed The Church and the Market: A Catholic Defense of the Free Economy.
