Comrade McCain

I can’t stand to listen to either McCain or Obama for more than about 30 seconds, but since my wife wanted to watch the debate I forced myself to hang in there last night for about 2 or 3 minutes. That was more than enough. Here’s what I saw: John McCain, as we all know, went to war in Vietnam and spent five and a half years in a POW camp to defend America against the threat of communism (or so we were told). Then when he gets a chance to become president, the first thing he does in his first big debate is to advocate a form of communism — “ordering” the Treasury Secretary to nationalize “foreclosed” mortgages. Obama was even worse.
