CNN Up In the Air About Ron Paul

This sort of treatment is just beginning. The media is both incapable of – and fearful of offending their establishment masters by – engaging in a philospohically principled and empirical analysis of his views. To allow his questions and opinions to reach the minds of people will divert attention from such ersatz concerns as the fate of Paris Hilton, the missing teenager in Aruba, or the whales trying to return to the ocean. I can imagine Lou Dobbs assailing Paul for purchasing a first-class airline ticket when middle-class Americans are having financial difficulties. If that isn’t enough to get the sheep back into the fold, all kinds of “offenses” against the man will have to be fabricated, and will escalate proportionate to his increased popularity. The political establishment is not about to allow its cozy racket to become upset by anything so mercurial as a public awakened from a lengthy slumber.
