Club for Growth Puzzle

The Club for Growth should love Ron Paul. Here’s their credo:

The Club for Growth is committed to lower taxes-especially lower tax rates-across the board. Lower taxes on work, savings, and investments lead to greater levels of these activities, thus encouraging greater economic growth.

However, he is ignored on their website, which has instead profiles of two candidates either tied with or below Ron Paul in the polls: Brownback and Huckabee. (Fox Poll). Huckabee clings to life but Brownback is kaput.

In their last two congressional ratings, Ron Paul is rated highly by CFG (83% and 82%).

More than any other candidate by far, Ron Paul is committed to massive federal spending cuts. You can’t cut taxes without cutting spending (unless you borrow which is just another form of spending).

So, the Club for Growth has some big-time explaining to do. What’s the story, CFG??????
