At the RNC, Chris Christie got a lot of applause for saying that one difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats want you to be coddled by big government. Christie has been governor of New Jeresy for 2 and a half years. Yet, it is only recently that he sought to allow people in New Jeresy to pump their own gas. Self-serve had been illegal in New Jersey for many years. However, his reasoning was not that gas purchasers should no longer be coddled, but that the change would bring down gas prices.
I wonder how “family values” Republicans feel about Christie nominating the first openly gay man to the New Jersey Supreme Court?
