Chodorov Revisited

The self-righteous types who are all aflutter over the Secret Service scandals in Colombia bring to mind the comment of Frank Chodorov, who observed that the political reformers wanted to “clean up the whorehouse, but keep the business intact.” I have long regarded the analogy to prostitutes an unwarranted slur upon those who peddle themselves in the marketplace. Far more appropriate, I think, is to regard politicians and their media megaphones as pimps!
