Cheney Spared Embarrassment

It seems that some journalists working for the Chinese government mercifully edited Richard Cheney’s remarks to remove his most rank hypocrisies. As a result, Cheney’s remarks come across better in print than they did live, but the Bush administration is still upset. It had demanded the right to speak to the Chinese people in a completely uncensored environment. The Chinese permitted this live but not in the print broadcast. Meanwhile, in Cheney’s country of Iraq, speaking uncensored either live or in print will get you shut down or shot. Here is the CPA martial-law order against saying things the foreign occupiers don’t like. Why must freedom in China be indivisible but divisable in Iraq?
