It was reported today that 80,000 people have been killed in Syria’s civil war. Most of them were civilians, as is usually the case. For weeks now we have been told that one or both sides have used chemical weapons. But what is so horrendous about that compared to conventional weapons? Why no outrage over people getting killed by bombs and bullets?
