The claim is that the Kochs wanted Crane out in 6–8 weeks, and that reasonable Ed wanted to hold on for another year or two. In fact, Ed demanded that he stay through the 2016 elections, and many other things.
Note, despite all the sturm und drang, that there is no real dispute about this key fact: Ed and the Edwardians have been defeated. Only the terms of surrender are to be determined.
